Welcome to Glenkirk!  Congratulations on taking your first step in the adoption process.  We are dedicated to helping children around the world find their forever families. We are one of three agencies in Illinois to earn accreditation from the Council on Accreditation to perform international adoptions for Hague adoption cases.

Glenkirk is a not-for-profit Child Welfare Agency licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, license #008017.  Our mission is to provide children with loving and nurturing families by educating and empowering adoptive parents throughout the adoption process, both domestically and internationally.

Glenkirk will assist families with education, legal requirements and support in preparing for the requirements of the state of Illinois, USCIS and their child’s birth country.  This includes but is not limited to home visits, pre and post-adoptive counseling, developmental screening, adoption education, home studies, foster care, licensing, post-placement visits and additional outside resources and referrals.
